What I liked
I liked that I wasn't sitting in a cubicle or a desk all day I was actually out in the stores ringing people out, selling the product, and also learning about managerial functions.
What I wish was different
I wish I could've had a manager throughout the entirety of the internship to consult and go to for help.
Advice
Ask questions, don't be afraid to bug your store staff whenever you need help with selling products in the store or tinting paint.

Sales Management Intern
June - August 2019 • Los Angeles, CA
What I liked
Working with the city manager as they were very accessible. Learning more about the business on a deeper level. Working on a professional business presentation within a team, while working day to day in store. The pay was better than minimum wage which is good for an internship.
What I wish was different
Getting stuck with a certain store manager who was difficult to work with for the entire ten weeks. The actual training binder the interns go through within the store level is very useless and unnecessary.
Advice
Soak up as much information as you can from the city manager as they know a lot about the business. When working on the internship problem/presentation don't be afraid to think outside the box and make it very unique.

What I liked
I like how I was able to get right in to learning about the company and doing what other employees do on a daily basis.
What I wish was different
It would of been nice if we could of done more tours of facilities to get a better understanding of the entire operations aspect of the company.
Advice
Take any internship you can find that is relevant to your skills, where you can gain experience. It will then be a launching for that company or another internship. I was lucky as a Sophomore to get this internship, now the possibilities are endless for my Junior year.

Management intern
June - August 2019 • Shrewsbury, MA
What I liked
I learned a lot about how a business is run on a day to day basis which was something that I did not have much experience with previously. I was able to learn about how a global company manages their people and resources effectively.
What I wish was different
I wish it had been less sales focused and more focused on management and projects. I did not have much say in the intern project so it was not a great fit for me but I still learned about myself through the project.
Advice
I would say stay motivated, the more people you can meet and network with the better experience you will have. I learned a lot just by talking to people, from the city manager to the truck drivers, I was able to learn something different about the company and see a different perspective.
