Special Facilities Lifeguard
February 2015 • Hershey, PA
What I liked
You can work as little or ass much as you want because it is considered a 'recreational' job. There are incentives to do well. And there are monthly audits that if you receive a good score, you receive a pay raise. My base wage was 9.50, but I currently earn 13, which is high for Pennsylvania. The environment is strict, but fun.
What I wish was different
I wish there was less favoritism among the lower level staff. The supervisors appreciate the hardest workers, but some of the team leads just care about their best friends.
Advice
Don't be afraid of something going wrong, you've been trained to handle all types of emergencies. Just be confident or call for a Lead if you don't know what to do, it's their job to help you.
