By analyzing over 20 billion consumer signals from platforms like Google Search and TikTok, we help brands get closer to what people truly want.
We are looking for a part-time CPG Insights & Marketing Intern to join our team. This individual will work across categories — supporting both insights and marketing initiatives — and will gain hands-on experience turning data into stories that inspire innovation across industries.
This is a dynamic role ideal for someone who is detail oriented, trend-obsessed, has an eye for visual execution, and is eager to grow their career at the intersection of strategy, research, and brand storytelling. This role is expected to require 10 to 20 hours a week, with flexibility based on availability. The position has the potential to evolve into a full-time role.
Responsibilities
Cross-Category Trend Research & Reporting
- Support the development of client-facing and internal trend reports across beauty, food, beverage, and wellness
- Data review and curation for trend reports
- Help identify compelling trend narratives using Spate’s consumer data tools
- Conduct deep-dive research to uncover cultural drivers behind emerging trends
Marketing & Social Media Execution
- Assist in building out visual assets and copy for newsletters, social posts, and campaigns
- Social media video editing
- Provide support on social media posting, design and aesthetic consistency
- Support event-related marketing and on-site activations
Presentation & Workshop Prep
- Create visual decks and materials for client workshops and trend presentations
- Attend and help facilitate virtual and in-person meetings
- Summarize insights and meeting notes clearly and concisely
Project Coordination & Event Support
- Help manage timelines and calendars across insights and marketing
- Provide logistical and creative support for events and webinars (if based in NYC)
Minimum Qualifications
- Deep curiosity about the CPG space — especially beauty, food, and wellness
- Strong research skills and a desire to dig into what makes trends tick
- Solid visual sensibility and attention to detail; bonus for aesthetic execution on social media
- Confident communicator with presentation and writing experience
- Highly organized self-starter able to work independently
- Available Monday–Friday (2–4 hours per day)
- Canva, Instagram, TikTok; Bonus: HubSpot
