Finance/IT Summer Internship 2024 (Requisition #1066)

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory has internship opportunities for college students to spend the summer of 2024 getting great work experience, in great locations, supporting the world's greatest Navy.

Our Finance team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has a unique opportunity for a Business/IT student! This role will be a combination of business and Information Technology. You have the opportunity to explore the nexus of Information Technology and business management by working directly with business professionals and IT professionals. The opportunity will provide you with real-world experience and mentorship as well as help you to develop an understanding of how business practices can influence IT direction. You may be engaged in a wide variety of different tasks supporting all aspects of IT including procurement, training, contracting, budgeting, or compliance.

The NNL Internship is an approximate 10-12 week program starting in May/June 2024.
 
An internship position may result in a return internship or full-time employment offer upon successful completion of the program.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Candidates for Business/IT internship positions must be:
  • Pursuing Finance, Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or related BS, MS or PhD degrees from an accredited college or university
  • Must have completed at least first full year of college by May 2024
  • Enrolled/continuing in a degree program throughout this internship

Preferred Skills

  • Cumulative minimum GPA 3.0/4.0
  • Prior related internship, co-op or work experience (paid or volunteer)
  • Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DOD) or Naval Nuclear Program experience
  • Data analysis and reporting experience (classroom or other)
