Business Development and Artist Relations Intern [Spring Semester]

Who we are: We are a young, scrappy, Techstars and VC-backed team of technology, growth, product, data, and design enthusiasts who love discovering new music and leveling the playing field for independent artists. We have a culture that values agile thinking, out-of-the-box creativity, and a 10x growth mindset. Our team is committed to success and excellence, and we have a passion for doing things differently. For HotDrop, success is defined by creating disruptive services that ensure remaining independent as an artist is both a viable and desirable career path. HotDrop was recently named one of the best platforms to discover new music by the Wall Street Journal (link).
What we do: HotDrop is a digital community of both “superfans” and artists. Listeners struggle to consistently find good new music and lack a reliable means to discover hidden-gems from their networks. Emerging artists lack the financial and promotional resources to scale their early fanbases, learn from prior successes/flops, and generate repeatable traction.
With the HotDrop app and web-based HotDrop Studio platform, the touchpoints between listeners/artists grow radically closer and these two passionate forces can discover, promote, share, and experience music together. Our team has high conviction that the music industry dynamics today will look drastically different 10 years from now. So what? The exponential growth of independent artists around the world demands innovative solutions to industry problems that remain unsolved: We are going to make HotDrop the preferred home of the next generation of artists and music-addicts.
If you have a passion for actively discovering or making music and this sounds like a challenge that excites you, we invite you to speak with us! We have no time to waste.
