Government Relations Intern (New Markets)

The Opportunity: Washington, DC
Full Time: 40hr/week, no remote option
Contract length: 4 months
Expected start date: May 9th 2023
Salary: $21.63 - $24.04 per hour

As a Government Relations Intern, you will be gaining valuable and diverse experience working at the intersection of Policy and New Markets such as Cryptocurrency, Fintech, and Blockchain. You have big ideas about how policy should be built and want to be at the center of advocating for meaningful change.

About You

  • Educated: Pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Law, Political Science, or a similar field of study
  • Curious: You’re eager to learn, flexible, and versatile. The crypto world moves at the speed of light you are comfortable working in ambiguity and pivoting your work
  • Communicative: You are able to listen and speak effectively and efficiently both verbally and through writing
  • Well-spoken: You are able to develop compelling discourses backed up by strong and convincing evidence
  • Personable: Your great attitude makes you approachable and engaging, and you are able to naturally form connections with others
  • Proficient: Interest or experience in politics, government relations, and cryptocurrency


Key Responsibilities

  • Completing reviews of Regulator profiles to aid in overall regulatory engagement
  • Meeting, speaking with and presenting to Regulators and other experts in the industry
  • Creating comment letters or op-eds with well-defined arguments 
  • Showcasing region-specific data to be presented to Regulators and Law Enforcement
  • Researching Gaming Industry regulations to build a catalog of compliance requirements
  • Compiling relevant GeoLocation updates for Hill staff & Regulators when relevant issues/hearings/contexts arise
  • Utilizing the Salesforce CRM tool to track interactions with clients, law enforcement, and regulators
  • Other tasks as assigned
