Government Relations Intern (Regulations and Compliance)

The Opportunity: Las Vegas, NV
Full Time: 40hr/week
Contract Length: 4 months
Expected start date: May 9th 2023
Salary: $21.63 - $24.04 per hour

As a Government Relations Intern, you will work with the Government Relations team to inform, advocate for and support Legislative and Regulator activity. You will develop analysis and support projects for the government relations team sometimes engaging with subject matter experts and government bodies. You’ll find yourself constantly challenged and excited about the next big thing.

About You

  • Educated: Pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, International Relations, Governmental Advocacy, Communications or other related fields
  • Detail-oriented: You have a keen eye for the little things, and you’re comfortable working with granular details
  • Communicative: Whether written or verbal, people know what you mean, what you are asking for, and what is expected
  • Organized: You have excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Proficient: You have knowledge or experience working with both quantitative and qualitative data to create compelling arguments and a strong interest in advocacy


Key Responsibilities

  • Reviewing regulator contacts and profiles to aid in overall regulatory engagement
  • Using data visualization tools to aid in marketing, compliance, legal enforcement, and more
  • Researching government regulations in the gaming industry to build a robust catalog of compliance requirements
  • Creating and owning documentation of our government relations functions and processes
  • Showcasing and presenting region-specific data to regulators and law enforcement
  • Other tasks as assigned
