Social Media and Editorial Junior Associate

Campus Philly is seeking a remote Social Media and Editorial Junior Associate to join our team for a ten-week period, beginning on June 1 and ending the week of August 9, 2021.
The Social Media and Editorial Junior Associate will work closely with the Director of Content and Creative, as well as the Student Engagement Team, and will focus on all aspects of content marketing and content creation, including producing and promoting written & video content for blogs and social media posts, and managing and maintaining the Campus Philly Calendar and the Campus Philly Job Board, among other items.
Interested? Here are some of the things our Social Media and Editorial Junior Associate will do this summer:
  • Create and publish engaging content for Campus Philly geared specifically toward Philadelphia-area college students and recent graduates, to be shared on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok each week
  • Manage, maintain, and launch at least five (5) social campaigns on Campus Philly’s TikTok that get other students excited to live, study, and work in Philly, and increase our following and engagement on the platform
  • Report on impressions and engagement from Instagram posts, using Instagram Analytics to cull data and draw conclusions from results
  • Recruit and engage with on-campus student influencers to generate new, fresh content each week
  • Manage and maintain the Campus Philly calendar, reporting event traffic and popularity on a weekly basis, and providing recommendations for future events
  • Populate our Job Board with Philly-area job and internship listings
  • Contribute student-focused blog posts on a regular basis, with the opportunity to launch your own blog series on the Campus Philly website
 
Over this ten-week period, you will work closely with all members of the Campus Philly team, gaining additional experience in virtual event planning and marketing, relationship management, and more.

Requirements
  • Has strong creative writing skills
  • Has an interest in content marketing, content production, and analytics
  • Is active on Instagram and TikTok, and is comfortable using Twitter
  • Is detail-oriented, with an appreciation for grammar, spelling, and proofreading
  • Has a strong on-campus following
  • Is analytical, curious, and proactive
  • Knows the best GIFs, emojis, and hashtags to use in Instagram stories
  • Has strong interpersonal skills
  • Has a passion for sharing their experience in Philadelphia through social media and/or written content
  • Is able to perform this role remotely and has a functional phone, computer, and Internet service for Zoom meetings with the Campus Philly team

This role will require ten (10) hours per week, and will take place over a ten-week period beginning in June 2021. The role will pay $15 per hour.
