Working as part of a team at Gateway National Recreation Area, the interns will support the park’s natural resource programs within the Sandy Hook Unit, Highlands, NJ. Primary responsibilities include monitoring and management of beach nesting shorebirds (including the federally threatened piping plover (Charadrius melodus)), visitor engagement to build shared stewardship, invasive species management, and data management.
Allowance Rates (before taxes)
- Living Allowance: $250/week
- Commuting Allowance: $30/week
- Housing Allowance: $800/month
