Project Manager/AutoCAD Drafter
AMD is looking for an expert in the exterior rain screen and/or metal paneling industry. We are looking for extremely knowledgeable candidates within our profession that possess good leadership and communication skills. This position will work closely with our clients and support staff.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Handle all drafting needs for each project
- Create shop drawings in accordance to architectural drawings accurately with our companies scope
- Request any necessary files for project including updated architectural drawings, window shop drawings and CAD files for project
- Use our company’s Shop Drawing Templates and Template Details to help create
- Provide any revisions as required in a timely manor and resubmit to customer.
- Write instruction sheets and cutter lists to guide setup and operation of machine
- Write program of machine instructions to regulate movement of machine along cutting path
- Understand type of material to use for application
- Visualize and understand what end product should be
- Responsible for accuracy and completeness of work to ensure customer satisfaction
- Mathematics, pattern development & layout, drafting, computer drafting, blueprint reading and shop fabrication
- Develop material lists for estimating
- Coordinate working shop drawings with customers’ demands including changes and adjustments
Required Education and Work Experience:
- Graduate of architecture or technical school: equivalent experience may be substituted
- 4+ years experience producing design projects in Rainscreen Facade systems
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Include:
- Extensive knowledge of materials, furnishings and construction methods related to exterior architecture and rain screen facades
- Quick at problem solving and takes initiative
- Able to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects at once
- Extensive AutoCAD skills (3D Modeling a plus)
- Intermediate MS Office Suite skills
- Intermediate Revit Skills is a plus
- Intermediate Adobe Creative Suite Skills
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced presentation and graphic communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally with all levels of staff
- Strong listening, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills
