Part-Time Temporary Hourly Worker (Multiple Positions available)

Posting Summary:
Part-Time Temporary Hourly Workers needed to assist Rutgers University researchers conducting a study of the health effects of chemicals found in drinking water.   

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Part-Time Temporary Hourly Worker will be a member of the Paulsboro PFAS Health Study Team to help with study activities. The study team consists of the on-site coordinator, a project manager, medical researchers, data managers, Institutional Review Board (IRB) coordinator, environmental health faculty, and community engagement professionals.

Among the key duties for this position are the following:

·       Obtaining proper training about study protocol and procedures
·       Assists the Site Coordinator with research and general office tasks
·       Maintains and performs accurate data tracking, evaluation, and reporting
·       Assists with community engagement and outreach efforts
·       Participates in a community-wide canvass to recruit study participants
·       Study activities include:
o  Screening eligibility of participants, scheduling/confirming appointments, assisting with blood and urine collecting/processing/storage/shipping, COVID-19 screening in office, administering a questionnaire via phone, obtaining consent, body measurements (height, weight, abdominal girth, waist size, hip), blood pressure measurements, blood draw, abstracting medical and school records, dry ice/supply pick up
·       Demonstrates initiative and flexibility with respect to work assignments.

Position Status:
Part-Time Temporary

Hours per Week:
10-20 hours, depending on need

Pay Rate:
$15-$20/hour depending on experience

Minimum Education and Experience:
·       Experience working in or living in the Paulsboro area
·       Computer literate, specifically with Microsoft applications and database software
·       Flexibility in working weekends and nights is required
·       Experience or certification in phlebotomy a plus
