Overview:
 
Puratos is seeking a Procurement Intern
 
This is a full-time, paid position. The internship will take place over the summer with flexibility in the start and end dates to align with student semester. Co-op requests will be considered.
 
 
Key Tasks: Customer Mapping and Product Category Analytics
·       Project lead to run the analysis on $233M spend on 15 different categories across Canada, Mexico and the USA to see where there are co-sourcing opportunities.  The intern will have to work with the different categories owners in North America to understand their category, spend, sourcing and supplier base.   The intern will then use a decision matrix to help propose where there are opportunities to co-source that would deliver savings and supply chain synergies. Assuming the project delivers 1% across only 6 categories, we expect to see identified savings of $1M.
 
·       Support in Service Items: either supporting the Dairy RFQ( $1M+spend) and/or assisting in the implementation of the flour plan which is $10M+
 
·       Help re-fresh our procurement policy and assist with developing the procure to pay training for non-procurement stakeholders. 
 
Profile:

·       Strong academic track record, ideally in supply chain or procurement
·       Well organized and self-motivated
·       Collaborative and adaptable, able to work cross functionally and internationally
·       Curious mindset
·       Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
·       Passion for the food industry
·       Process oriented and data driven. Understanding of project management basics to drive business goals is a plus
·       Previous work or Internship experience is a plus, preferably in the Food, CPG or similar industry
·       Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office suite
·       Must be 18 years of age and live within commuting distance from our US HQ in Pennsauken, NJ
