Laboratory Technician-Asbestos- Cinnaminson, NJ; Piscataway, NJ; New York City, NY
- We are looking for students/recent grads/upcoming grads with a background in Geology who are looking to start off in our Asbestos Department by being a Laboratory Technician! This vital position assists the analysts in preparing received environmental samples for analysis. These samples include: air samples, bulk sample prep, dust samples, Asbestos PLM samples, and Gravimetric/Silica sample prep. We WILL train on how to prepare these samples for analysis.
- Experience/Requirements: HS diploma or equivalent; Some college course work completed a plus; Some laboratory experience a plus
Laboratory Technician- Industrial Hygiene- Cinnaminson, NJ
- We are looking for students/recent grads/upcoming grads with a background in Chemistry who are looking to work in our Industrial Hygiene department. The Laboratory Technician-Industrial Hygiene will be setting up and analyzing samples using gravimetry and XRD, someone who is willing to learn new procedures and operation of basic analytical instruments!
- Experience/Requirements: HS diploma or equivalent with come college level science classes is required; Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry is a plus; Basic math skills related to analytical chemistry required; Some laboratory experience is a plus
Laboratory Technicians for our Chemistry Department: Lead (Pb), Organic Extractions- Cinnaminson, NJ
- We are looking for students/recent grads/upcoming grads with a background in Chemistry who are looking to work in our Lead (Pb) department. The Laboratory Technician-Lead (Pb) will be prepping samples using laboratory grade acids, solvents, and other reagents for analysis on various media such as guaze wipes, paint chips, and drinking water.
- Experience/Requirements: HS degree, but Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Physical Science is preferred; Some chemistry lab experience is a plus.
Materials Laboratory Technician- Cinnaminson, NJ
- We are looking for recent grads/upcoming grads with a background in Materials Science, Geology, Metallurgy, or Forensic Science. The Materials Laboratory Technician will use various microscopes for various applications. Potential candidate will also assist the department with designing experiments to solve problems requested by customers.

- We are looking for recent grads/upcoming grads with a background in Biological Sciences. The potential candidate will be working in the day to day running of this laboratory by assisting with prepping samples, ensuring a clean laboratory space including: glassware washing, supply and inventory checks and machine maintenance.

Microscopist Microbiology- New York City, NY
- We are looking for recent grads/upcoming grads with a background in Biology or Microbiology to work in our Microbiology department. The potential candidate will be identifying fungi and bacteria using optical microscopy by performing standing and non-standard laboratory procedures.
- Experience/Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Biology or Microbiology; Experience with microscopes is a plus- we will train on the instruments for new candidates.
Microbiologist I- Food Microbiology- Cinnaminson, NJ
- We are looking for recent grads/upcoming grads with a background in Biology or Microbiology to work in our Food Microbiology department. The potential candidate will assist with prepping samples and media and confirm analysis of presumptive and suspect isolates. Potential candidate will also assist with specialty projects as needed.

Microscopist Asbestos PLM- Cinnaminson, NJ; Piscataway, NJ; New York City, NY
- We are looking for students/recent grads/upcoming grads with a background in Geology who are looking to work with Polarized Light Microscopes (PLM) in our Asbestos department, EMSL’s largest line of business throughout the company! The Microscopist Asbestos PLM Analyst will be preparing and analyzing bulk and solid materials for asbestos content using a Polarized Light Microscopist to determine the visual percentage and properties of asbestos and non-asbestos material in the sample for our clients.
- Experience/Requirements: HS diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science: Geology, Microbiology, Biology, Environmental Science and/or Chemistry background is a plus. We WILL train on PLM/PCM/TEM Microscopes, but any experience with these Microscopes is a BIG plus!
ICP-MS Analyst I- Cinnaminson, NJ
- We are looking for upcoming grads/recent grads with a background in Chemistry. The potential candidate will be using an ICP-MS and/or ICP in different ways to analyze samples provided by our clients following regulatory methods.
- Experience/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Physical Science. Experience in ICP or ICP/MS is preferred, but not required. We will train, if needed.
Organics Analyst- Cinnaminson, NJ
- We are looking for upcoming grads/recent grads with a background in Chemistry. The potential candidate will perform analytical analysis utilizing GC or GC/MS using EPA approved test methods.

This positon will work with a team to ensure all samples received from our clients are thoroughly checked and checked into our computer laboratory database to be accessed by laboratory personnel.

Part Time Laboratory Administrative Assistant- Piscataway, NJ
- We are looking for a current student who is looking to work Part Time hours while going to school to work in our laboratory as an Administrative Assistant. The potential candidate will ensure ensure all samples received from our clients are thoroughly checked and checked into our computer laboratory database to be accessed by laboratory personnel.
