Special Education Teacher
Responsible for the design and implementation of an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each student assigned to classroom. Responsible for assessing the functioning level of each student and for developing and implementing goals and objectives based on this assessment. Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the program and participating in the client's interdisciplinary team.

- Responsible for the design and implementation of an Individualized Education Program (IEP) for each student assigned to the classroom
- Responsible for assessing the functioning level of each student and for developing and implementing goals and objectives
- Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the program and participating in the students’ interdisciplinary IEP team meeting
- Maintains and utilizes adaptive/assistive equipment and devices
- Prepares and implements daily written lessons plans
- Maintains a positive, safe, healthy and controlled learning environment; ensures supervision of all assigned students
- Directs activities of instructional aides and assures implementation of established instructional procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
