Business and Quality Analyst - 2021 Master's Rotation Associate

The SEI Wealth Platform has a career opportunity for a Business and Quality Analyst. This position requires a foundation of business knowledge preferably in the financial services industry, and the ability to work in an Agile team environment. The candidate should be adaptable and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements. This position is rotational and will enable candidates to work on up to four different SEI Wealth Platform teams during their first two years.
 
This position is part of the Associates Program which is an intensive 12-month curriculum designed for high-achieving students. The program includes pre-orientation events, a week-long orientation program, coaching and mentorship, support and exposure to senior management, and an opportunity to participate in the Innovation Pitch competition. Placement for Associate Program positions is determined through thoughtful conversations throughout the interview process.
 
What you’ll do:

• Perform quality analyst and business analyst tasks that coordinate involvement of SMEs, users, internal and external stakeholders in order to gather information and requirements
• Translate business requirements, define user stories and deliver testing criteria for sprint and release planning
• Review, analyze, evaluate and recommend business systems, component applications and user needs
• Document/communicate key decisions, open issues, case studies, workflow and functional requirements
• Establish relationships within the internal and external business community
• Proactively recommend innovations and modifications that are in compliance with industry requirements and are consistent with corporate objectives and goals to improve operational processes, systems, policies and procedures
• Actively participate on a Scrum Team following all facets of the Agile Delivery Process
• Support scrum masters, product owners and senior level analysts on various projects
• Drive quality assurance with creation and execution of acceptance tests as needed
• Prepare and execute test plans
• Execute component or integration testing in alignment with sprint delivery cycles

What you bring to the table:

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics or applicable area of study
• Graduate between December 2020 – June 2021
• A minimum of a 3.0 GPA 
• Prior work experience or internship is a plus, preferably within the financial services industry
• Eligibility to work in the United States

Location and Travel:
This position will be based in our corporate headquarters in Oaks, PA. Some travel may be required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
