Summer Intern - Rutgers

Withum will be holding virtual campus interviews for Interns for Summer 2021.

To be considered for this outstanding opportunity, you must be a rising Junior or Senior in the Fall of 2021, an accounting major or MBA candidate in an Accounting Track program, with a preferred GPA of 3.2 or higher and excellent interpersonal and computer skills.

You will be assigned to work along with a team on client audit engagements, initial tax preparation, and miscellaneous accounting tasks.

Duties may also include:  
  • Analyzing and reviewing client accounting records and financial statements  
  • Evaluating internal accounting control systems, audit risk, materiality and compliance with generally accepted auditing standards via inquiry, observation and review  
  • Assist in creating detailed workpapers to support the accounting work done  
  • Assist in preparing tax returns and financial statements  
  • Proofreading (to become familiar with a wide range of reports)  
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned  

NOTE: Interns are guided by an experienced accountant who briefs them in advance on the assignment, suggests expeditious methods, answers questions, makes decisions on remedies when difficulties are encountered, and reviews their progress periodically. Interns may have light client contact but ordinarily does not deal directly with client personnel without guidance and supervision by an experienced accountant.
