2021 Summer Internship Program - Social Impact

Social Impact
TD Bank’s US Social Impact team is comprised of the Office of Charitable & Community Giving, including the TD Charitable Foundation, and Partnerships & Engagement. The Social Impact team focuses on bringing together our business, philanthropy and human capital as levers to positively impact the communities in which we live and work. The team strives to live TD's global citizenship commitment by delivering authentic and local experiences that elevate the bank's Unexpectedly Human brand promise.


The work of the US Social Impact Team includes:

  • Bringing the TD Ready Commitment's four interconnected drivers of change – Better Health, Financial Security, Vibrant Planet & Connected Communities – to life
  • Encouraging employee engagement and corporate giving discipline throughout TD Bank
  • Elevating TD's presence in the community to differentiate us from our peers
  • Measuring community investment in impact dollars versus dollars spent for a more compelling return on investment narrative

Social Impact offers internships opportunities in the following group(s):

  • The Office of Charitable and Community Giving exists to advance TD's investments in the local community, to elevate TD as the Unexpectedly Human bank in our social impact, and to support initiatives and innovations that we believe will lead us to a better future for our Customers, Communities and Colleagues.
  • The Partnerships and Engagement team handles the TD Ready Commitment Network, which offers employees volunteering and giving opportunities to support the causes, organizations and communities in which they live and work.
Social Impact will offer internship opportunities at their Philadelphia, PA, Mount Laurel, NJ, or Falmouth, ME locations.


TD Summer Internship Experience

Our 10 week, non-rotational program consists of:

  • A fun-filled, high-energy introduction to TD Bank
  • A variety of professional experiences and development training
  • Extensive networking opportunities and interactions with senior leaders
  • A dedicated support network, including a formal peer-mentoring program
  • An active role in community service projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently in Junior year of college - Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business (Marketing, Finance, Economics etc.), Political Science, Corporate Social Responsibility, and/or Communications
  • 3.2 cumulative GPA or higher preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to think independently and work collaboratively
  • Must have US Citizenship or Permanent Residency status
