Financial Planning Intern

POSITION SUMMARY
The Financial Planning Intern will assist the Financial Advisors in the Financial Planning, Portfolio Management and client servicing processes.

INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES
·        Assist in the creation and update of Financial Plans in eMoney software, which includes data gathering and entry, analysis of output, troubleshooting with clients and eMoney staff and development of Plan.
·        Prepare for financial planning and investment review meetings with clients by creating spreadsheets and providing analyses.
·        Create and update asset allocations; research investments; track portfolio performance
·        Field financial planning questions and research current financial planning topics and market news
·        Provide exceptional customer service
·        General office duties and special projects as needed

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
·        Junior or Senior in the process of achieving Bachelor’s degree in a related field – business, finance, economics, etc.
·        Suggested GPA of 3.5 or higher
·        Keen attention to detail
·        Microsoft office programs expertise
·        Strong analytical and organizational skills
·        Clear and articulate communication style

BENEFITS & WAGES
This paid internship is a part-time opportunity for Fall 2020, potentially Spring 2021, and includes the possibility of full-time employment upon graduation. The wages are $15/hour worked with opportunity for an end of semester bonus. 15 – 25 hours worked/week. The intern will be required to be in the office for 75% of the hours worked/week.
