We’re looking for a Data Engineer Intern focused on Telemetry & Data Infrastructure to design and build scalable pipelines that collect, process, and unify user behavior data across our platform.

You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, real-time data flows from frontend and backend systems into our analytics stack, enabling product, growth, and AI teams to make data-driven decisions.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end telemetry pipelines to capture user behavior across:
  • Frontend (React / JavaScript)
  • Backend services (Python / Node.js)
• Build and maintain event tracking systems (e.g. user actions, session flows, feature usage)
• Develop data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to process and store large-scale behavioral data
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across multiple data sources
• Integrate data into tools like Metabase / analytics dashboards / internal APIs
• Optimize data collection for real-time analytics and experimentation
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Growth teams to define:
  • What data should be tracked
  • How to structure events for downstream analysis

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in:
  • Computer Science
  • Data Engineering
  • Data Science
  • or related field
• Experience with backend development or data engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of:
  • SQL
  • Python
• Familiar with:
  • Event tracking systems (Segment, RudderStack, etc. — optional but strong plus)
  • APIs and data pipelines
  • Cloud or data infrastructure basics
• Understanding of:
  • Logging / telemetry systems
  • Data modeling and schema design
• Detail-oriented, structured thinker, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup
