The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Robotics Intern to join our core research and development team. In this role, you will contribute to cutting-edge projects at the intersection of computer vision, 3D modeling, and autonomous systems. You will have the opportunity to design, implement, and validate algorithms that will directly impact our robots' ability to navigate and understand their environment. This is a unique opportunity to work on real-world challenges and see your research come to life on physical hardware.
Responsibilities
Develop and integrate advanced computer vision models for tasks such as object detection, semantic segmentation, and 3D reconstruction.
Design, implement, and evaluate state-of-the-art algorithms for pose optimization and multi-sensor fusion.
Research and apply novel techniques for 3D human pose and shape estimation, with a potential focus on models for human-like articulated mesh recovery.
Develop, test, and maintain robust software packages within the ROS/ROS2 ecosystem.
Integrate and deploy your algorithms on our robotic platforms for real-world testing and performance validation.
Collaborate closely with a dedicated team of researchers and engineers to push project goals forward.
Document your work, present your findings to the team, and contribute to our intellectual property portfolio.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently pursuing an MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong programming proficiency in Python and/or C++.
Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and linear algebra.
Hands-on experience with at least one of the following areas: robot learning, SLAM, 3D reconstruction, or geometric deep learning.
Familiarity with the Robot Operating System (ROS/ROS2).
Preferred Qualifications
Currently pursuing a PhD in a relevant field.
Proven experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
In-depth knowledge of 3D computer vision concepts, including camera models, multi-view geometry, and structure from motion.
Experience with 3D human body modeling, motion capture, or animatable avatars.
A track record of relevant publications in top-tier robotics or computer vision conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICRA, IROS) is a strong plus.
Experience deploying complex algorithms on real robotic hardware.
