The Opportunity

We're seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Analyst to join our founding team and help build the operational, financial, and market foundation of Timing as we scale from pre-seed to Series A and beyond. This is a rare opportunity to directly impact a company that's focused on changing lives and creating more equitable career opportunities. This is a paid position. 

As our Business Analyst, you will work closely with the founder to drive business operations, research new markets, identify revenue opportunities, support fundraising efforts, and optimize internal processes. You’ll be a key problem-solver who can take on any business challenge—from improving sales workflows to researching investor prospects.

Key Responsibilities

Business Operations & Process Optimization

  • Analyze current operational processes and propose improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.
  • Create and maintain internal dashboards and performance tracking systems.
  • Assist in project management to ensure deadlines are met and deliverables align with company goals.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Research and identify potential customer segments and high-value partnerships.
  • Assist in building sales playbooks, pipelines, and lead qualification processes.
  • Support the development of pricing models, revenue projections, and sales forecasts.

Market & Competitive Research

  • Conduct market analyses to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Compile reports on industry benchmarks, customer behavior, and growth strategies.
  • Translate research findings into actionable recommendations for product and business strategy.

Fundraising Support

  • Research and identify potential investors, grants, and funding opportunities.
  • Assist in preparing investor materials, pitch decks, and due diligence documentation.
  • Track and organize investor outreach efforts to ensure timely follow-up.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure business alignment.
  • Support any ad hoc projects as needed to move the business forward.

What We're Looking For

  1. Currently pursuing or completed a degree in business, finance, economics, entrepreneurship, or a related field.
  2. Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  3. Past experience in business analysis, market research, sales strategy, or fundraising support—through internships, academic projects, or work experience.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) preferred.
  6. Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
